OnePlus’s New Concept Phone with Invisible Camera – CES 2020

World’s Leading Smartphone Manufacturer Company OnePlus has been teasing its ‘Concept One’ smartphone that will supposed to be unveiled during the CES 2020 conference.  Even though the firm has kept most of the details as a secret, it has been leaving some of the information on the web in the form of teaser video which is showing the Concept Phone’s certain angles and it is confirming one of the “Industry First” use of Electrochromic Glass in a Smartphone.

How it Works??

The Electrochromic Glass aims to hide the rear camera by tinting the entire area, and it will making it an ‘invisible camera’.  OnePlus is boldly challenging the conventional practices of the industry “By exploring innovative ways to combine cutting-edge technology and Smartphones” said by a Smartphone maker.

About Electrochromic Glass:

It is an electronically tintable glass that hides the rear camera underneath and reveals only when it is in use.  The organic particles on the glass create different tints when subject to an electrical field.  It means that each time when a different voltage is applied, the light transmission changes, resulting in hiding or revealing the camera.

OnePlus’s Tweet:

OnePlus Says “We’re bringing the #OnePlusConceptOne to #CES2020, but you don’t have to wait: you can get a sneak peak at it right here, along with its groundbreaking “invisible camera” and color-shifting glass technology” with a teaser video attached.
